All 3 future Hawkeyes in still in action won their playoff games last week. Riley McMinn became the second champion (joining Cole Fisher) as his team won the Illinois Class 4A Championship.

Riley McMinn
Playoffs, Illinois Class 4A Championship: W Alleman 7 - Rochester 24 | (14-0)
The Illinois Class 4A Finals were set perfectly...two previously unbeaten teams going head-to-head. The game, however, didn't turn out to be as close as expected with Rochester dominating after the first quarter. Tied 7-7 after the first, Rochester scored the next 17 points and rolled up 414 yards of total offense. The defense was also dominant. McMinn had 2 of the Rocket's 7 sacks and helped the defense hold Alleman to just 119 yards and 7 points.

Season Over

Jacob Rudock
Playoffs, Regional Semifinals W Cooper City 7 - St. Thomas Aquinas 49 | (12-0)
Rudock threw 5 touchdowns in the first half as Aquinas cruised to an easy second round victory. The Raiders will have a rematch with Boyd Anderson on Friday night. The teams met back in September and Aquinas won 52-13.

Next Game: vs. Boyd Anderson - 12/03 (Playoffs, Regional Finals)

Austin Vincent
Playoffs, Regional: W Bowie 24 - DeSoto 56 | (11-2)
DeSoto got its offense going in the first half to open up the game with a big lead that later turned into a big victory. They scored on 5 of their 7 first half possessions and added a pick-six to take a 42-10 lead into halftime. The Eagles basically just ran the ball to keep the clock ticking and both teams scored twice in the second half. DeSoto moves on to face Stony Point in a rematch of a game played in September in which Stony Point beat DeSoto 46-29.

Next Game: vs. Stony Point - 12/04 (Playoffs, Quarterfinals)
