Check out the Insight Bowl trophy

Between the wrestling meet and the basketball game on Sunday, the Insight Bowl trophy will be on display at Carver Hawkeye Arena. They'll be a photographer there, so fans will have the opportunity to take a picture with the trophy.

Then at halftime of the basketball game, Marcus Coker and Micah Hyde will be honored for being the Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players respectively of the Insight Bowl. The rest of the team (any football player at the game) will be honored as well.

Iowa is also doing a special deal where a wrestling ticket or a basketball ticket will get you in to all 3 events: wrestling meet vs. Michigan, Insight Bowl trophy display, and basketball vs. Minnesota.

Possible additions

There are some possible late additions to the Hawkeyes this year. Quinn Early (a Hawkeye receiver from 1984-87) has a son, Chance, that is looking at the possibility of being a preferred walk-on. Early is a receiver like his father. Here are his junior highlights.

Iowa may also have another receiver that is interested. Jeremiah Hendy signed a letter of intent to Maryland on signing day but has hinted on Twitter that he hopes to be released and instead sign with Iowa. He is from the same area and friends with Nico Law, Jordan Lomax, and Darian Cooper. I am not sure that there is an open scholarship for him, but I think so...Iowa had a ton of seniors last year and a handful of transfers. Hendy looks like a guy that Iowa could use on the roster as either a receiver of defensive back, both positions were there isn't a lot of depth right now. Here is Hendy's junior highlights.

Rhabdo 13 should be ready for spring practice

Eric Johnson spoke at the Polk County I-Club event last night and had some excellent news. "It's going to be a slow process working the players back into the fold, but as far as we know, they'll all be ready to go for spring ball." He also said that the players are all back in class and "fairly healthy." I'm not sure if we'll know all 13 players' names by the time of the Spring Game, which is scheduled for April 16, but the players we do know should get a huge ovation during the open practice.
