There have been a few good preview of the 2010 Iowa Football season published lately. I don't think I ever learn anything about the team from these, but they are still fun to read. Last year I found myself disagreeing with a lot of the previews as I thought Iowa was being underestimated. This year, the previews predict big things for Iowa, so there are far less complaints on my end.

ESPN-Iowa-Preview Blue Ribbon Preview: Iowa
The other Blue Ribbon Previews for Big Ten teams on ESPN are for insiders only, so it is kind of a treat that the Iowa preview is free. The preview itself is as good as you'll find. There may not be much in the way of new information, but there is certainly a lot and it's all on point. The preview boils down to this: Iowa has a bunch of talent on defense and the skill positions, so if the offensive line comes together and the Hawkeyes avoid injuries, then they'll be in the title hunt.

CFN-Iowa-Preview College Football News: 2010 Iowa Preview
The CFN preview has been out for a while now, but it's worth the read if you missed it before. Each unit on offense and defense get ratings. Not surprisingly the defensive line has the high rating with a 9 (out of 10) and the offensive line is the low with a 7.

This preview isn't quite as long as the others but is still good. A big chunk focuses on Adrian Clayborn and ultimately concludes with a prediction of an 11-2 season with a Rose Bowl victory over Oregon.
